Our Approach To Timely Disclosure

1. Our Approach To Timely Disclosure

Shinsei Bank seeks to disclose information in a timely fashion in accordance with the Rules on Timely Disclosure of Corporate Information by Issuers of Listed Securities (the Timely Disclosure Rules) stipulated by the Tokyo Stock Exchange (the TSE).

The Timely Disclosure Rules require the timely, accurate and fair disclosure of corporate information when any decisions, events, financial results and important matters at consolidated group companies, including the listed company and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, may affect investment decisions; when the TSE asks the listed company for corporate information required for timely disclosures based on news reports, rumors or external reports provided to the TSE; or when there are significant changes in corporate information that has already been disclosed.

Shinsei Bank also aims to provide timely, accurate and fair disclosure in terms of additional information that does not fall under the Timely Disclosure Rules in order to meet investors' needs.

2. Timely Disclosure Methods and Shinsei Bank Websites

In accordance with the Timely Disclosure Rules, information is disclosed through the Timely Disclosure Network (TDnet) operated by the TSE. Shinsei Bank promptly posts information disclosed through TDnet on its websites. However, since a delay may occur in the posting of information on the Bank's websites, reference should also be made to other information sources, such as TDnet.
