Can I use Shinsei PowerDirect without opening a PowerFlex account ?

Only customers with PowerFlex accounts can use Shinsei Bank's Internet banking service, Shinsei PowerDirect. We recommend that you use this opportunity to open an account with us.

Are there any qualifications for using Shinsei PowerDirect ?

Customers who have a PowerFlex account and who live in Japan can use this service.It is not available for corporations or private organizations (without corporate status), etc.

In principle, minors are not entitled to open Investment Trusts account or make Investment Trusts transaction. Please contact at a Shinsei Financial Center or Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-007) for detail.

I would like to know the procedures of application to the actual use of the service.

If you are opening an account in the branches, you will need to register a 4 digit PIN code. After 20 to 30 minutes, the PIN code will become valid and you will be able to register on the Shinsei PowerDirect login screen on our web. Please follow the instructions to register your Shinsei PowerDirect password. You will be able to use the service straight after registration.
If you are opening an account by mail, please use the PIN code we send you after opening an account with us to register your Shinsei PowerDirect password, by following the instructions on the Shinsei PowerDirect login screen on our web.
After registration is completed, you will be able to login from the top page by clicking "Login" on the web.

How many days does it take until I can start using the service?

If you have opened the account in the branch, you will be able to use it on the same day.In you opened account by mail, the 4 digit PIN code will be sent to you in about 4 days depending on postal circumstances.
After you receive the PIN, please change it to the number you like through Shinsei PowerCall. The new PIN will become available in about 30 minutes, and then you will be able to register the Shinsei PowerDirect password on the web.

Will there be any charges?

Commission charge for domestic transfers to other bank's accounts through Shinsei PowerDirect is waived up to 3 times* a month. If you clear some conditions it will be 5 or 10 times.

Q
What will happen if the communication is interrupted during the transaction?

A
If the line is cut off during the entering of the data or while it is being processed, then the data will become invalid.
Please check if the transaction was processed correctly by referring to the latest transaction confirmation screen.
