Q
How can I sign up for online banking? (login for the first time.)

A
  1. Please enter your 3-digit branch number and 7-digit account number shown on your cash card.
    i.e.) If the number is shown 400 1234567 please enter 4001234567.
  2. Please enter your 4-digit PIN, the same PIN you use for your cash card, by using the security keyboard or with the usual keyboard.
  3. Your PowerDirect password is your date of birth in 8-digit numbers, (YYYYMMDD) registered as initial password to login.
    i.e.) If your date of birth is 5 June, 1970, please enter 19700605
  4. Please click "Login" after you follow the steps above and proceed to "Password Change" screen to create your own password.

What is the 4 digit PIN code you type in when using Shinsei PowerDirect?

A
A It is the 4 digit PIN code which you registered at the counter on opening a PowerFlex account, or the one we sent you and you changed through the Shinsei PowerCall.

I forgot my 4 digit PIN code.

A
Please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-022 Please press *3→2→2 when connected.) to reissue your new PIN.

The temporary PIN code well be sent by non-forward tracked mail.

If you need to update your address, the PIN will be sent once the address change is completed.

*
It will take approximately 1 week for you to receive the PIN.

I want to change my 4 digit PIN code.

A
Please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-272) to change your 4 digit PIN code. You will be required branch code, account number and current PIN on automated voice system. Please note that it will take 10-60 minutes to start using Shinsei PowerDirect and ATM services with your new PIN code. (In case you change PIN during the night or on holidays, the change will be reflected in the midnight or in next morning depending on the hour.)


For your safety, 4 digit numbers which are easily speculated such as below are not accepted.
  1. Date of birth
    YYYY • YYMM • MMDD are not accepted.
    Example: December 31st, 1950 → "1950" "5012" "1231"
  2. Telephone number
    Consecutive 4 numbers in your telephone number
    Example: 03-9173-8264 → "9173" "8264"
  3. Any consecutive numbers
    Example: "0123" "1234" "2345" etc.
  4. Same numbers
    Example: "0000" "1111" "2222" "0111"

What is "PowerDirect password"?

A
It is a 6 to 12 alpha numeral password, which we ask you to register when using PowerDirect for the first time.

Please be careful when using capital letters. Capital letters and small letters will be distinguished.You will only need to use the password when using Shinsei PowerDirect.

I forgot my "PowerDirect password".

A
In order to protect the security of your account, the system will not allow us to check the password for you. In case you forgot your password, please contact us at Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-022). We will reset your PowerDirect password to your "initial password" as your date of birth in 8-digit numbers (YYYYMMDD).
i.e.) If your date of birth is 5 June, 1970, please enter 19700605
After you login with your "initial password", please login to your account and create a new password once again.

I want to change my "PowerDirect password".

A
Please do this at "Password change" under "Customer support" on the main menu.
Alert message will be displayed to recommend you to submit a new PowerDirect password once in every 90 days for the security of your account. Password shall be 6 to 12 alpha numeral password, using a combination of letters and numbers.
If you register for alert e-mail, "PowerDirect Password Change Alert" e-mail will be sent when password is changed. We recommend you to register for your security.

What will happen if I enter the wrong password?

For security reasons, you will not be able to use Shinsei PowerDirect if you exceed the set number of times allowed for re-entering the password. Should this happen, please contact Shinsei PowerCall and follow the necessary procedure to "reset the password". After resetting, please enter your date of birth in 8-digit numbers (YYYYMMDD) as your "initial password".
i.e.) If your date of birth is 5 June, 1970, please enter 19700605
After you login with your "initial password", please login to your account and create a new password once again.

What does "initial password" mean?

A
"Initial password" is your date of birth in 8-digit numbers (YYYYMMDD). You will need it when you login to Shinsei PowerDirect for the first time, or when your PowerDirect password is reset.
i.e.) If your date of birth is 5 June, 1970, please enter 19700605

What is a Security Keyboard?

A
Security Keyboard is a function that allows you to safely input PIN and passwords on the screen. It is a much more safer than using your keyboards with leaving no operation log. This is especially if you are using computers in public place such as Internet cafe where certain number of people can have access to the same computers. (Login at public place computers is not recommended) . Please remove the check from "Use the Security Keyboard" if you wish to use your usual keyboard

When I try to login, I get the message "Invalid Login: Please try again".

The following factors can be the cause of this problem.
You have incorrectly entered either the 10 digit number (3 digit branch number + 7 digit account number), or the 4 digit PIN code, or PowerDirect password

The registered PIN code has not been validated.
>> Please wait a while and try again.
For security reasons, we may limit your login if you have never login to Shinsei PowerDirect 1 month after account opening. Should this happen, please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-022).

When I try to login, I get the message "Account Locked: Too many invalid attempts".

For security reason, you will not be able to use Shinsei PowerDirect if you exceed the number of times allowed for invalid attempts. In case your account is locked, please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-022). We will reset your PowerDirect password to your "initial password" as your date of birth in 8-digit numbers (YYYYMMDD).
i.e.) If your date of birth is 5 June, 1970, please enter 19700605
After you login with your "initial password", please login to your account and create a new password once again.

When I try to login, I get the message "Unable to login at this time: You have already logged in".

Please wait for a while and login once again. In case the message still appears, please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-022).

In order to protect the security of the customers, you will be automatically logged off (cut off) if a set time span elapses without your operation.

What is a Security Code Card?

A
The Security Code Card is a new authentication element in addition to an account number, PIN and PowerDirect password. You will be asked to enter values (alphabet or numeric characters) from three different grid coodinates on the Security Code Card.

Why do I have to register 15-digits Security Code Card number?

A
The Security Code Card number is unique to each customer account and matched against your account ID.
The card will be validated by registering the Security Card number.

I've moved. How should I receive my Security Code Card?

A
Please submit the Address Change form immediately.


Q
Can I get my Security Code Card at a Shinsei Financial Center?

A
The Security Code Card is delivered by postal mail only.


Q
I have lost my Security Code Card. What shold I do?

A
Please call Shinsei PowerCall immediately (0120-456-858). Your Security Code Card will be reissued. Please note that the Card you lost will be invalidated even if you find it later.


Q
I haven't received my Security Code Card.

A
In case you have moved but you haven't submitted the Address Change form, your Security Code Card is sent to your old address. Please confirm that your address registered with the Bank is your new address.
In case you have never used the Internet banking (logged in Shinsei PowerDirect) since you opened PoweFlex account, your account may be locked temporarily. Please call Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-858) to unlock the account and request Security Code Card.


Q
Envelope of Security Code Card seems to have been opened. What should I do?

A
Please do not use Securiy Code Card if you find it in the tempered condition . Please call Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-858) immediately.


Q
Is it possible to issue several Securiy Code Card for one person?

A
Only one Security Code Card is issued per account.
