What are the available currencies for Time Deposits ?

A
Available for twelve currencies. They are Yen, US dollar, Euro, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, New Zealand dollar, Sterling Pond, Hong Kong dollar , Singapore dollar, Chinese yuan, the Brazilian real and the Turkish lira.

Is there a deposit limit to the amount for Time Deposits ?

There is no limit to deposit for a Time Deposit account. However, there is a maximum and minimum amount for each foreign exchange transaction through Online Banking (Shinsei PowerDirect).
< Maximum >
Weekdays: Amount equivalent to 5,000,000 yen
Weekends & Holidays etc.: Amount equivalent to 2,000,000 yen
("Weekends & Holidays" is when Foreign exchange market is closed.)
< Minimum >
Amount equivalent to 1,000 yen or 10 basic currency units.

I want to change the maturity method of 2 Weeks Maturity Deposit I already have.

In PowerDirect, open the "Accounts" tab and see "Account Overview". Select the 2 Weeks Maturity Deposit that you would like to change the maturity method and click "Change Maturity Instructions".
Choose "Reinvest with interest" or "Redeem both" and click "Submit".

Can I cancel the following time deposits before maturity via PowerDirect? Yen time deposits, 2 Weeks Maturity Deposit, or PowerChoice.

A.Yes, yen time deposits, 2 Weeks Maturity Deposit, and PowerChoice can be cancelled before maturity online. In PowerDirect, open the "Investments" tab in the upper-middle part of the screen, click "Time Deposits", and select "Early cancellation before maturity of yen time deposits" from the option listed. Select the deposit that you would like to cancel.
PowerChoice can be fully or partially cancelled in multiples of JPY 10,000 in 3 months after the deposit date. Yen time deposit and 2 Weeks Maturity Deposit can be cancelled on the following day of the deposit date. They will be fully cancelled and cannot be partially cancelled.
On Smartphone screen, tap "Yen Deposit" on the "MENU" screen and select "Early Cancellation".

By what time of the day can I use the service ?

A
The service is available 24 hours. There may be a possibility of date being changed for transactions made during nighttime. Please reconfirm the transaction date before you apply.
