  • About popup stoppers

  • If using the popup stopper on the Google tool bar, anti-virus software or browser settings, the login screen for PowerDirect may not appear. In such cases, deactivate the popup stopper.

    Remittance service — Remittance from Yen savings account
    Domestic remittances Domestic transfer fees to other banks' accounts through Shinsei PowerDirect are waived up to 1 time a month. (If you clear some conditions it will be 5 or 10 free fund transfer per month).
    Daily limit for domestic fund transfers is set at 500,000 yen. The limit can be changed to between 0 yen and 2,000,000 yen.

    A commission will be charged initially but will be reimbursed. A charge of 308 yen will be levied for each transfer exceeding the prescribed limit. Transfers to other Shinsei Bank accounts are FREE.
    The number of transfers you are entitled to make each month may temporarily be limited depending on your past usage circumstances.


     
    Inquiries
    Balance inquiries Balance inquiries can be made regarding savings accounts, time deposit accounts, structured deposits, and some of the Mutual Funds calculated on the most recent base price.
    Such inquiries cannot be made regarding foreign-based investment trusts.
    Recent transaction inquiries Inquiries can be made regarding up to 10 recent transactions, and about dates related to savings accounts and investment trusts.

     
    Rate inquiries
    Interest rate / exchange rate inquiries Inquiries can be made concerning: the latest interest rate for ordinary deposits (all currencies) and time deposits, Shinsei Bank's stipulated trading rate for all currencies handled and the most recent base price of investment trusts.


      Foreign currencies handled

    • U.S. dollars, Euro, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars, Pounds Sterling, Hong Kong dollars, Singapore dollars, Rand ,Norwegian krone, Chinese yuan, the Brazilian real and the Turkish lira.
      Cross currency transactions include the following currencies:
      US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Pound Sterling (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD) and New Zealand Dollar (NZD).
      Please note that Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), Singapore Dollar (SGD), Rand (ZAR), Norwegian krone (NOK), Chinese yuan (CNY), the Brazilian real (BRL), and the Turkish lira(TRY) are not included in any cross currency transaction.
    • The selling of foreign currency can only be dealt with for 1 sub-unit each.
    • The maximum and minimum amounts for each foreign exchange transaction using Shinsei PowerDirect are as follows:
    • 1.Yen to/ from foreign currency transaction limit

      <Maximum>
      Working days: equivalent to 5 million yen
      Holidays: equivalent to 2 million yen
      (Holidays are those days when foreign exchange markets

      <Minimum>
      Equivalent to 1,000 yen

      2.Cross currency transaction limit
      (A foreign currency transaction that does not include conversion to/from Japanese Yen.)

      <Maximum>
      US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR) and Canadian Dollar (CAD): 30,000 currency units
      Pound Sterling (GBP): 20,000 currency units
      Australian Dollar (AUD) and New Zealand Dollar (NZD): 50,000 currency units

      <Minimum>
      10 currency units for each foreign currency

    • Cross currency transactions include the following currencies:
      US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Pound Sterling (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD) and New Zealand Dollar (NZD).
      Please note that Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), Singapore Dollar (SGD), Rand (ZAR), Norwegian krone (NOK), Chinese yuan (CNY), the Brazilian real (BRL), and the Turkish lira(TRY) are not included in any cross currency transaction.
      Investment trust transactions
    • Please contact Shinsei PowerDirect for information about the funds handled.

    • The maximum number of transactions allowed daily using Shinsei PowerDirect is as follows:
      3 times per fund for purchasing / canceling.
      Exception: canceling for MMF is once a day.
      When purchasing an investment trust, please refer to the latest prospectus.


    Commission
    Not charged (likewise for remittances).
    A stipulated fee will be charged for investment trust transactions.

    Available hours
    24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
    Depending on the hour, some transactions may be handled the following day.
    There will be times when services will be unavailable due to system maintenance.
