You can change your address/ phone number by post or at a Shinsei Financial Center.
* Please note that foreign citizens who will leave Japan (nonresidents of Japan) are required to close their account.

What you need:
    Registration of Change of Address Form
*To request for forms, please contact Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-007).
Select 2 (for English) >> 7 (for change of address) >> 2 (for change of address - operator assistance)
*If your phone number has changed, please write your new phone number.
    Certificate of Alien Registration (Gaikokujin toroku shomeisho)
*Please provide a copy of both sides.
or
Certificate on Registered Matters (issued within 6 months)
*When changing your address, please provide one of the above ID documents displaying your name, NEW address and date of birth.

You can change your registered account name by post or at a Shinsei Financial Center.
Your account name, cash card embossed name and your signature (if necessary) will be changed.

After registering:
  A cash card displaying your new name will be sent to your registered address, after processing.
You do not need to return your old cash card. Once you start using your new cash card, your old cash card will become invalid.

You can change your PIN by phone.

It depends on the time you changed your PIN.

 
•  If you change your PIN durring 07:59 - 20:54, then your new PIN will be activated in another 10 minutes for your ATM and Internet banking.
•  If you change your PIN during 20:54 - 01:00, then your new PIN will be activated from 1:30 for the Internet banking and from 3:00 am for ATM.
•  If you change your PIN during 01:00 & 07:59, then your new PIN will be activated from 8:10 am for your ATM and Internet banking.

Q: How can I confirm what phone number I registered with Shinsei Bank, or change the registered phone number ?

Please follow the steps below if you wish to confirm the phone number you have registered with the Bank.
  1. Please contact us at Shinsei PowerCall (0120-456-007). (Please press 2→7→2 when connected.)
  2. After the caller is verified as the account holder, please tell the phone number you wish to confirm.
  3. The operator will answer if it is registered or not.
  4. If you wish to change your registered phone number (to register additional number is also available), a change form will be sent.
  5. When you receive the form, please fill in your new phone number to be registered, and sign or stamp hanko.
  6. Please send the form back to the Bank. (Identification documents will not be necessary in case of changing only the phone number.)
