To open an account at a Financial Center

To open an account at a branch, please prepare the following A or B before you go to the branch. Also, make sure you bring the original of the required identification documents and NOT copies.

To open an account, you must be a resident of Japan.
Account opening is not possible if you are a nonresident in Japan, or your status described in your Certificate of Alien Registration is 短期滞在 which means a temporary visitor.
Foreign citizens who will leave Japan (nonresidents of Japan) are required to close their account.

* We mainly provide services in Japanese at the branches. There are some branches with English speaking staffs, but not always available. Please visit our branch with someone who can understand Japanese if you have concerns about communication. Thank you for your understanding.

	Certificate of Alien Registration
Please provide the original and NOT a copy. Check if your Certificate of Alien Registration status is “temporary visitor,” as it will NOT be considered acceptable identification. Check if the address on the card is your current address. The period of stay should not have passed.

	Japanese Driver's License
	Please provide the original Drivers's License and NOT a copy. Name, address and date of birth must be the same as written in application form. Check the expiration date.

In case of cash card to be mailed.


	Original of Certificate on Registered Matters （ Proof Decument of Alien Registration ） A original copy of Foreigin Resident Registration file.
