Shinsei Bank has received inquiries from members of the public who have received solicitations from persons claiming to be employees of our subsidiary, Shinsei Investment Management Co., Ltd., regarding investment solicitations of unlisted stocks. Shinsei Investment Management does not handle transactions involving the purchase and sale of unlisted stocks. Furthermore, these solicitations and the individuals making these solicitations have no relationship whatsoever to either Shinsei Investment Management or the Shinsei Bank Group.
