The Bank jointly uses personal data as set forth below, pursuant to Article 23, Paragraph 4, Item 3 of the PIPA.
| 1. | The Bank uses personal data jointly with the personal credit information institution to which the Bank belongs pursuant to Article 23, Paragraph 4, Item 3 of the PIPA as described below; provided, however, that the Bank shall have obtained the consent of its customers as stated in the "Regarding Provision and Use of Personal Information by Personal Credit Information Institutions and Its Members" with regard to any contract to be entered into after the full enforcement of the PIPA (April 1, 2005). |
| (i) | Personal Data under Joint Use Information published on the official gazette (name, address, bankruptcy status, date, etc.) |
| (ii) | Scope of Joint Users Members of the Personal Credit Information Center of the Japanese Bankers Association and the Japanese Bankers Association (Note) The Personal Credit Information Center of the Japanese Bankers Association is a personal credit information institution established and operated by the Japanese Bankers Association. Qualifications for membership are as follows: |
| (1) | Banks which are official members of the Japanese Bankers Association; |
| (2) | Banks other than those falling under (1) above or financial institutions which are regarded to be the same as banks; |
| (3) | Government-affiliated financial institutions or any party regarded as such; |
| (4) | Credit guarantee associations which are established pursuant to the Credit Guarantee Association Law (Law No. 196 of August 10, 1953), or |
| (5) | Corporation conducting credit business for individual customers and which have been recommended by any member falling under (1) through (3) above. |

Purpose of Use Decision-making by members of the Personal Credit Information Center of the Japanese Bankers Association regarding their own credit transactions |

| 2. | In addition to the above, the above personal information may be provided or used by and among the personal credit information institutions and their members to the extent required for the protection and ensuring of appropriate use of personal information such as maintaining the accuracy of the information and keeping the information updated, handling of complaints and personal credit information institutions' monitoring of their members regarding the condition of compliance with regulations. |
| 3. | As for the above-mentioned personal credit information institutions to which the Bank belongs, please refer to "Regarding Provision and Use of Personal Information by Personal Credit Information Institutions and Their Members. |
When bills or checks are dishonored, the holders of the bills
and trading banks suffer considerable damages.
Therefore, in order to ensure the smooth distribution of bills and checks, the Bank takes measures such as refraining from transactions for a certain period of time if the Bank becomes subject to an order for suspension of business due to the dishonor of bills or checks.
Such being the case, please understand that the personal data of any customer, who is the drawer or the underwriter of the dishonored bill or check or who consulted with the Bank on the opening of a current account, will be provided to the clearing house and will be jointly used by participating financial institutions in the form of sharing of the information set forth in 1. below or reference by the party which became subject to an order for suspension of business upon the consultation for such opening of a current account.
