  • *2 【Caution regarding Preferential Service for Diamond and Platinum Customers】
    • Shinsei Diamond Customers and Shinsei Platinum Customers are eligible to make the first remittance of any given month free of charge when making an overseas remittance or domestic foreign currency remittance from their Shinsei PowerFlex Account. The customer's stage for the month must be Diamond or Platinum on the day the remittance request is sent via the app.
    • To be eligible for the Preferential Service for Diamond and Platinum Customers, after registering with the GoRemit app customers must register a Shinsei PowerFlex account in their name with the app. When making a remittance in the same month as registering a Shinsei PowerFlex account, the remittance fee will be refunded to customers at the beginning of the following month. When making a remittance in the months after registering a Shinsei PowerFlex account, the first remittance of any given month will be free of charge when making a remittance request.
    • Customers' Shinsei Step-up Program details are updated at approx. 10:00 am on the first business day of every month. If a customers makes a remittance request via the app before these details are updated, the remittance fee will be deducted at the time of the remittance, but will be refunded within that month.
    • After making a remittance request from the GoRemit app, the free remittance for that month will be considered used even if the funds are returned for any reason.
    • Not applicable to customers who have closed their Shinsei PowerFlex Account before the cash-back date.
    • This preferential service is not applicable when making a domestic transfer to our collection account.

  • When remitting "Foreign currency from foreign currency account", the available currencies are US Dollar, Euro, UK Pound, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, New Zealand Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar and Singaporean Dollar. Please note that South African Rand, Norwegian Krone and Turkish Lira can not be remitted

Q: Do the Step-up Program's preferential fees apply with GoRemit?

A: This is applicable from August 1, 2019. Shinsei Diamond Customers and Shinsei Platinum Customers are entitled to make one free overseas fund transfer per month via GoRemit App only from Shinsei PowerFlex Account (Also applicable to domestic Foreign Currency remittances).

Q: How can I check my remittance history?

A: You can check your remittance history in the GoRemit app, as well as save/print in PDF format. An "Advice of Transfer" will also be sent by postal mail to your registered home address after making remittances.

Q: How much can I send via the GoRemit app?

A: The default remittance limit is 1,200,000 yen per remittance. If you wish to send more than this amount, you must apply to raise your remittance limit in the app. Applications to raise limits are subject to screening, which can take several business days to complete. If you plan to exceed your limit, please apply to raise your limit at your earliest convenience.

Important points on the GoRemit Shinsei Overseas Remittance Service

  • In order to use the GoRemit Shinsei Overseas Remittance Service (GoRemit), you need to apply in advance.

<Overseas Remittance by transfer to our designated collection account>

  • When making transfers to our designated collection account, funds received by 3:00 p.m. on business days will be remitted after converted from yen to the foreign currency using the GoRemit TTS (Telegraphic Transfer Selling) exchange rate for that day. If yen funds arrive after 3:00 p.m., they will be converted and remitted on the immediately following business day using the GoRemit TTS exchange rate for that (the following) day.
  • In cases when Yen is the denominated remittance currency, funds received by 3:00 p.m. will be processed on the immediately following business day. Funds received after 3:00 p.m. will be processed on the business day after the immediately following business day.
  • The remittance fee is JPY 2,000 per remittance and is not dependent on the amount you remit. For remittances in Japanese yen, an additional lifting fee of 0.1% of the remittance amount (minimum charge of JPY 1,500) will be charged in addition to the JPY 2,000. Domestic transfer fees are borne by the customer.

<Overseas Remittance from Shinsei PowerFlex accounts (for individual customers)>

If you wish to make remittances with the GoRemit Overseas Remittance Service by withdrawing funds directly from your Shinsei PowerFlex account, you will need to register your PowerFlex account with the GoRemit app separately in advance.

  1. Remittance from Yen Deposit accounts
    • When making a foreign currency remittance by withdrawing from your Shinsei PowerFlex Yen Deposit account, remittance request instructions received before 3:00 p.m. on a business day will be remitted after converted from yen to the foreign currency using the GoRemit TTS exchange rate for that day. In cases when Yen is the denominated remittance currency, remittances will be processed on the immediately following business day. (Please note that foreign currency-denominated remittance request instructions cannot be sent after 3:00 p.m.. Yen-denominated remittance requests may be sent after 3:00 p.m., however funds will be remitted on the business day after the immediately following business day.)
    • The remittance fee is JPY 2,000 per remittance, and is not dependent on the amount you remit.
  2. Remittance from Foreign Currency Deposit accounts
    • When making a foreign currency remittance by withdrawing from your Shinsei PowerFlex Foreign Currency Deposit account, remittance request instructions received by 3:00 p.m. on a business day will be remitted on the following business day. For remittance request instructions received after 3:00 p.m., we will remit 1 day after the following business day.
    • The remittance fee is JPY 4,000 per remittance, and is not dependent on the amount you remit.
    • Intermediary banks overseas may deduct fees. In addition, beneficiary banks in some countries may also levy charges.
    • Depending on the beneficiary country and bank, funds will typically arrive within 1-3 business days after we make the remittance, however screening processes and local banking practices on the beneficiary end may cause delays in some cases.
