Information regarding the Special Cash Payment of 100,000 yen from the Japanese government

Your Shinsei Bank account can be designated for receiving the Special Cash Payment Related to "Emergency Economic Measures for New Coronavirus Infectious Diseases", please feel free to use your Shinsei Bank account to receive funds.
In order to receive the special cash payment, documents regarding your bank account information must be submitted to your local municipality with the application documents they sent to you.
Shinsei Bank does not issue passbooks, so please submit a copy of your cash card or the screen after logging into Shinsei PowerDirect (Internet Banking).

You will be required to provide the following.

  • Shinsei Bank's Japanese 4digit Bank code : 0397
  • Branch code and name : (Branch code) The first 3 numbers on your ATM card (e.g. "400" 1234567) and (Branch name)
  • Copy of your cash card or the print-out/picture of your Internet banking screen including the account number
  • Account name in Katakana

Submit the screen after logging into Shinsei PowerDirect (Internet Banking)

After logging in, take a screenshot/print out the "Shinsei Bank logo", "Customer name", "Branch name (branch number)" and "Account number" at the top of the screen.

Please beware of financial fraud regarding this special payment

Please be careful of fraudulent information/scams regarding your cash card, PIN and security card.
Local municipalities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Shinsei Bank, etc. will never do the following.

  • Ask the customer to operate the ATM.
  • Ask the customer to transfer a fee to receive this special payment.
  • Send an email and ask the customer to click a URL to request for the application procedure.
  • Ask the customer personal information such as household composition, bank account number(s) or postal mailing address by phone or email.
